NIH Encourages Use of Preprints and Other Interim Research Products

A new notice from the NIH (Reporting Preprints and Other Interim Research Products, NOT-OD-17-050) indicates that interim research products, including preprints, can soon be cited where other research products are cited. According to the Scopus database, authors from WUSM published approximately 2,300 peer-reviewed journal articles in 2015. The top five journals were PLoS ONEPNAS, the Journal of Biological Chemistry, the Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, and the Journal of Immunology.
